As the first Apple device to ship with iOS 7, the iPhone 5s was released on September 20, 2013 with the colors silver, gold and space grey for consumers to choose from. The CPU on this smartphone was 56 times faster than the original iPhone, thus the “s” lowercase for speed. It was made of high-grade aluminum with a flat, colorful design. The features included a control panel for commonly-used functions (Control Center), an ad-hoc Wi-fi sharing platform (Air Drop), and internet radio service (iTunes Radio). iPhone 5 was the first phone to have a 64-bit processor.
